  Purple Triangles - Symbol of JW faith?

  i clicked on one of the google-ad sponsors on jwn, and saw the purple triangle on the http://www.servicesupplies.net/ website.

  so help me understand this: is it ok for a jw to use the nazi symbol of a purple triangle to identify themselves, but using the cross is not acceptable?.

  Sites like "Service Supplies" have no authorisation from the WTS..I checked through your link and could not see a reference to a Purple Triangle.

  They have now taken that symbol down off the site. Amazing what power this JWN site has! Seems that the society has infact stamped out such practice! Now I regret not having made a printout of the site. The triangle appeared on the left side below the jaunty fellow with the service bag, with the bibles and tetragramaton.

  What to do with left over memorial emblems

  we have an italian cong that shares the hall with 2 english congs.

  an elder from the italian cong makes the wine & bread every year for quite a few of the congs in melbourne.. after the last memorial is held in our hall, the wine is taken back to this elders house where certain privileged ones are invited back for some socialising and to drink a very nice drop of red wine!

  as well as the usual assortment of cheese platters and crunchy bread.. we were privileged enough to be invited back a few years ago, but the whole idea didnt seem to sit well with me, so we took a raincheck and never got invited back again.

  Our cong always dumped the wine that had been passed in the glasses, but the leftover in the bottle was sent home with whomever brought it. According to the elders, the stuff that was prayed over in the memorial had been sanctified and it would be wrong for any non-anointed to consume it, even after the service.

  By far, the three best products I have ever used are (1) Shave Secret Oil (about $4 at WalMart), (2)Toms of Maine shaving cream in a tube, and (3)Arko shaving soap stick. Search all on google.

  IMAGE: The Ham Sandwich Blood Policy

  i have always thought the "ham sandwich" was an apt simile for the jw policy of allowing blood fractions but not whole blood.

  i created the graphic below to illustrate this in the watchtower comments video "question jws: blood" (see below).. i had a request for this image and thought i would share it with you all.

  Ham radio

  i've been an amateur radio operator for over 30 years.

  the jw's have a radio rendezvous on short wave every night or at least they used to.

  bob wa4uqq used to publish a list of jw hams.
